heart of the community - destination for dining

As a traditional village pub we pride ourselves on being at the heart of the community by supporting as many local suppliers as possible & making our cozy pub feel like a second home for many. Our separate dining room is the perfect destination for family Sunday lunches, midweek treats & romantic meals.

When we took over The Wheatsheaf back in 2014 we wanted to show Northampton what great pub food meant to us. Classic British dishes, cooked simply with best, freshest, locally sourced ingredients. By constantly developing relationships with local producers & suppliers as well as growing our extensive allotment we can be sure that the food that we serve is always of the highest quality.

This ethos can also be found in the bar where when ever possible we stock local spirits & soft drinks as well as quality local beers.

Our menu changes regularly with the seasons & you can expect to see different additions week to week, however we do keep firm favourites on throughout the year like our award winning homemade burgers (2 for £15 on Wednesdays) & our most popular breaded fish & chips.

Fabulous Sunday roasts are a passion of ours & you can always find at least 4 to choose from each week, served with all the trimmings & gravy to die for!

We hope you enjoy!
